Reheat a bowl of sauce without a cover and you spend the next five minutes wiping the inside of the microwave. This stops that.
The dome sits over your plate or bowl and catches the spray. Vent holes in the top let steam out so the lid does not rattle or trap condensation. When you are finished it collapses to about 2 cm and hangs from the hook in the rim, so it lives in a drawer or on a hook rather than taking up a shelf.
The vented top also works as a colander. Rinse berries or drain a small portion straight through it, then fold it flat.

How it works

Drop it over the plate
Open the dome out and sit it over your plate or bowl before the food goes in.
