Run a tape measure along the gap, from the front edge of the counter back to the wall.
A good fit if
- There is a visible gap between your stove and the counter on one or both sides
- You want something you can lift straight out and wash, with nothing stuck down
- You want it to disappear against your counter. Transparent is the least visible of the three
Not right if
- You need one unbroken strip longer than 25 inches. Two strips laid end to end leave a seam where they meet
- You want it on the cooktop itself. It belongs in the gap beside the cooktop, not over a burner
- You want it sealed or glued down permanently. This one lays in the gap and lifts straight out
